BOOK 3: RACE TO THE RUINS

In the next adventure, a company of elite wolf-soldiers are on a mission to recover a magical object, a special kind of dagger. It’s too late for the Free Folk to catch them up, except by boat on the river … and the river route goes through the impossibly dangerous Black Gorge, then through an area of electric eels, then to the sinister clay fields outside the ruins of the Palace of Idris.

The Free Folk won’t risk it, but Tam, Nina and Chiz will. Their boat carries them through the Black Gorge, then past the eels. After barely surviving the ghostly perils of the clay fields, they finally arrive at the ruins.

But they still can’t find the dagger until suddenly the wolf-soldiers turn up. They know exectly where the dagger is. How to get it off them? Maybe Agger Dagger has a mind of his own …
